Who is responsible

This statement follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Visiting this website
The site is hosted on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. To deliver a page, the server necessarily processes your IP address and the request itself. We do not keep access logs. The contact and application forms keep the sender's IP address in memory for at most one hour to limit spam; it is never written to disk.
We use no analytics or tracking, set no cookies for visitors, and load fonts from our own server rather than from third parties.
Contact form and email
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. When you email us, we receive what you send. We use this only to answer you.
Form submissions are not stored on the web server: they are forwarded as an email to our mailbox. Our email is provided by Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC), so messages may be processed in the USA. Google is certified under the Swiss–US and EU–US Data Privacy Frameworks. We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to deal with your request.
Applications
When you apply through the application form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, your optional message, your CV and, if you add one, your motivation letter. They reach us the same way as contact messages — by email via Google Workspace, without being stored on the web server.
We use your application only to assess it and to stay in touch with you about it. Only the team members involved in recruiting see it. We delete it once the application process has ended, unless you agree that we keep it for future openings.
Video
The media page offers a YouTube video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; the video then loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may set cookies under its own privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Links to our social media profiles and to partners lead to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Content editors
Team members who edit the site sign in with their GitHub account. This sets a short-lived cookie that is used only to complete the sign-in, and the changes they make are stored on GitHub.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given. Write to info@swisslooptunneling.ch. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or to the data protection authority where you live.
